Tourist tips

• The main Riga post office is in the city centre at Stacijas laukums

• Double Coffee is a very popular chain of coffee shops, you'll find outlets in many locations all over Riga

• At Riga train station tickets for international trains are sold at counters  1- 6, for domestic trains at 7 - 12.

• Riga drivers seem to have a death wish and generally ignore pedestrians

• Be prepared to pay high tourist prices in the cafes, restaurants and shops around the Doma Laukums in the Old Town
