• In summer take a boat trip on the Daugava river from Akmens bridge.

• At Riga train station tickets for international trains are sold at counters  1- 6, for domestic trains at 7 - 12.

• The main Riga post office is in the city centre at Stacijas laukums

• There are many street vendors in Old Town selling amber, knitted goods, matryushkas, and old Soviet medal
